Why UV Ozone Generators?

Unlike Corona Discharge Ozone generators that produce ozone with a process similar to lightning, our UV units produce ozone through specific wavelengths of the UV spectrum. This process produces ozone and the benefits of ozone without the harmful, corrosive nitric oxide byproducts that are produced form Corona Discharge units.

The UV light causes the oxygen molecule we breathe (O2) to split and combine with other single oxygen atoms to create ozone (O3). The ozone reacts with the pollutants, destroying them and releasing O2 safely back into the atmosphere.
